Kalmarravet is one of the youngest of the country’s trotting tracks. The course was inaugurated on 4 July 1965.
Kalmar’s racing track is characterized by its width at the starting places - 25.5 meters at 2140 meters and 26.0 meters at 1640 meters.
The Kalmar Sound Cup, which has been run since 1965 is regarded as the courses largest race. It takes place during the midsummer weekend and that competition day has become the biggest national festival at the small country track.
