The ferry town track is bigger than its two Warmland neighbouring tracks Arvika and Årjäng.
Färjestad was the fourth permanent track in the country when it opened the gates on 5 April 1936.
Färjestad's biggest competition days are the traditional Good Friday race with Prince Carl Philips Jubilee trophy for five-year-old horses and the Union race with international competition against Norway.
Färjestad is a co-organizer of the three-year series E3, so every year some of the E3 races are also run here.
