Outside Kramfors in Ångermanland is Arena Dannero, as the course is now officially called.
The trotting company behind Dannero, Ådalen's Trotting Society, was formed in 1957. The competition track was inaugurated on 23 February 1958, but can nevertheless be said to be Sweden’s most modern trotting arena. After a fire in 2005 that destroyed the buildings in the public space, a modern multi-hall has been built.
Dannero’s biggest race for warm blood is the Ådals Prize, which has been held annually since 1965. In August each year, the classic Swedish Cold Blood Criterion and Criterion Stud for the best three-year Thoroughbred are also run here.
Dannero is also known for its midnight crowd at Midsummer, which is one of the summer’s biggest crowds.
Dannero has no track lighting and therefore competes mainly during the summer season.
