It is Sweden’s northernmost trotting track. Under the direction of Norrbotten’s Travels Society - formed in 1943 - the inaugural races were run on the course on 5 March 1944.
The biggest and most prestigious race is Norrbotten’s Big Prize. It has, under different names, been run ever since 1954 and seen many superstars as winners. Its current name and form got the race in 2007.
The track is relatively wide and measures 23 meters at the start for 2140 meters.
