Axevalla - the course with the longest homestretch in Sweden at 227 meters - was inaugurated on August 12, 1956.
Axevalla’s biggest event is the StoChampionats weekend which takes place annually during the last weekend in July.
The StoChampionatet, which has been running since 1969, is the largest classic race for the four-year-old Swedish-born mares. During that weekend, more than 30,000 people visit the track.
Axevalla is one of two trotting lanes in Västergötland together with Åby.
